Meet Joselito Caasi Padilla, a former sea urchin diver who is now a certified sea

 

Joselito Caasi Padilla was only five years old when he started diving for sea urchins to help with his family’s daily expenses.

 

But even in this difficult situation, he dreamed of becoming a seaman and continued to persevere and study hard to realize his childhood dream of one day becoming
a seaman.

 

With the help of the Project Malasakit Program of Kara David, Joselito was able to graduate with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation course in March 2017.

 

As of this month, September 2018, he is currently in Singapore to work as a “deck cadet”.

 

No matter how hard life is, do not give up. It is difficult, but there are many ways to achieve your dream. Strive, study hard, and persevere because every difficult ride will bring you success, “Joselito said.
