Philippine Army Qualification








There are 3 ways of becoming a Philippine Army Officer
1. Thru the Philippine Military Academy
3. Thru the (OCC) Officer Candidate Course
3. Thru the (OPC) Officer Preparatory Course

If you are a Criminology graduate or a Bachelors Degree Holder, You
may become a Philippine Army officer thru OCC.

OCC is a one year course. Upon graduation, you will be commissioned
as a 2nd Lieutenant in the regular force. 
Here are the qualifications:
1. Baccalaureate Degree holder
2. Natural Born Filipino Citizen
3. Height - at least 5' for both male and female
4. With Pleasing personality and high scholastic records
5. No pending case in any court of law
6. Physically and mentally fit for training
7. Single and is not supporting any child
8. Between 21 and 25 years old on the date of admission at OCS

The initial requirements for OCC are the following:
1. College Diploma
2. Transcript of Records
3. NSO issued Birth Certificate
4. Curriculum Vitae (for Civilian applicants)
5. Summary of Information (for Military applicants)
6. 2x2 picture

Are you a reserve 2nd Lieutenant in the Philippine Army? Then you
may apply for (OPC) Officer Preparatory Course. It is a 6 months
course after which you are commissioned as 2nd lieutenant in the
regular force. Almost all reserved 2nd lieutenants in the
Philippine Army are ROTC advance graduates and commissioned as
2nd lieutenant in the reserve force. The Qualifications for
(OPC) is almost the same as the (OCC) except that under (OPC),
the age limit is 31.

Are you presently a criminology student or student of other courses
and can not wait to join the Philippine Army. Then you may apply as
an enlisted personnel. Here are the qualifications:
1. Must have earned 72 units in college for both male and female
2. High school graduates should possess technical skill highly
   desirable for acceptance in the military service
3. Must pass the AFP Aptitude Test Battery with a score of 80 or
   higher
4. At least 18 but not more than 26 years of age at the time of
   appointment
5. 5' for both male and female
6. Physically and Mentally fit
7. Single and has no child
8. No pending case in any court

Initial Requirements for Enlisted Personnel
1. Highest Educational Diploma
2. Transcript of Records3.
3. NSO issued Birth certificate
4. Any Valid ID
5. 2x2 picture

A Private has a monthly salary of P19,062.
