The Philippines is rich in pendant-looking wax plants called Hoya. Found in our 5c is Hoya publicalyx. It has tiny pink, star-shaped flowers endemic to Luzon.
It is an evergreen perennial climber admired by many plant enthusiasts even outside of its native range.
