De La Salle University College of Criminology was opened to
students in 1978.

The Criminology Program was opened to serve those who live or
work nearby area who wish to join the PNP, BJMP, BFP and other
government institutions like the Bureau of Customs, Bangko
Sentral ng Pilipinas, Bureau of Corrections, Parole and
Probation Administration and Personnel of the Various
Provincial Jails as well as the Security Guard Profession.
